Visions Of You (A Letter To My Other Half)
Visions Of You © 2009 Haronica Legette

I had visions of you and me together. Of you coming home to a hot bath and me helping the gentle water to wash the hard days work off your face and body. A smile on your face as you looked upon the reflection of warmth in my eyes.
I had a vision of taking care of a man that would appreciate the tender caress of his woman's touch. Appreciated the thoughts of him that she possessed without asking for much in return. Embracing the care she gives him which makes him want to give it back to her a thousand times more.
I had a vision of laying beside you at the end of a long day. Your arms wrapped around me, protecting me, and giving me the feeling of love and care. They tighten their hold on me, letting me know that they would never let me go. They want to feel my softness surrounding them and when you awake in the morning, I'm still in them.
But these are fantasies. Figments of my imagination. They are visions of my hopes that may never be fulfilled. You are an intangible commodity that I cannot save to purchase later. I can wait, but I'm not confident that you'll come.
Although it will take me some time to place you in my past. To tell my heart and mind that you may not be "meant to be".
For now, I will continue to only have visions of you.

This is an small excerpt of a forthcoming novel. Characters may change as I continue to write this story. Enjoy this small glimpse....
Yes, she was the color of tea, he thought to himself as he poured the steaming hot water in the cup. The water turned brown instantly as the tea bag released its aroma and flavor. He dipped the bag a few times before disposing of it in the trash and took a sip, a slight grin on his face.
Granted, he was romanticizing the entire encounter with her, but her interest was written all over her pretty little face. He couldn’t pass up finding out if that moment that he looked at her was a figment of his imagination. Her eyes were the deepest of brown, almost pitch black with dark long lashes framing the almond shape. Small round nose, pouty lips, and a rounded chin. Her face was heart-shaped and everything seemed small on her compared to him. She was small. He was a few inches taller than her, but her petite body was curvy and just right he thought. Her hair was tied in a bun on the nape of her neck, the brown strands slipping slightly out of its place. Seeing her in the dining room was that second chance he’d passed up when she’d finally walked out of the conference room. Her voice was small also, soft and breathy, a bit shakey he guessed from nerves. He made her nervous? She made him nervous, but most of all, she made him want to kiss her.
Ken had an hour to spare, so he sifted through his cellphone and pressed the call button. After three rings, she picked up.
“You do realize I’m in the middle of something, Kenny.” Her voice wasn’t as irritated as her words sounded.
“It’s important, Lou.” He laughed. “Besides, it’s only 7 pm.”
“Dinner is cooking.” He heard the slam of the oven door and laughed. “Shut up!” she laughed with him.
“I feel so sorry for Tommy.” He murmured. “He got saddled with a woman who can’t even boil water, much less heat up a simple t.v. dinner.”
“I’ll have you know that I followed a recipe and it smells amazing!” she said with pride.
“Yeah, whatever.” Ken chuckled.
“So, what’s so important.”
“I met a woman.”
“You always meet women, Kenny.” She snorted.
“No, I met “her”” he emphasized.
“Every girl you meet is “her”, Kenny, come on!”
“ No, no, no! I felt it. I felt it and so did she, Lou. How did you feel when you met, Thomas?”
“Annoyed.” She laughed.
“Okay, when you fell in love with him.”
“I don’t know, he felt…right.”
“She feels “right”…Lou, she feels “right”.”
“You just met her, Ken, How do you know she’s the “one”. It’s also Vegas for goodness sake. Don’t do anything stupid! You didn’t do anything stupid, did you?” she asked, suddenly concern in her voice.
“No!” Ken chuckled. “She’s the color of tea, Lou.” He whispered as he looked in his half empty tea cup.
“She’s green?” Lou laughed out loud at her joke.
“Shut up.” Annoyed, Ken blew out a breathe. “She feels right, I felt it, Lou. I felt it.”
“Then, take it slow, Ken. I don’t want you hurt like before.” She whispered.
“No, this isn’t remotely like Sara, Lou. This is on some next level mess. Something I can’t wrap my head around and it’s scaring the crap out of me, yet making me happy and excited at the same time!” he inhaled deeply. “Shit, I have to go, I’m meeting her in fifteen minutes. I’ll talk to you later.”
“Wait, Ken!”
“What?”
“The color of tea?” she whispered. “Ken…”
“I don’t care…bye.” He hung up the phone and hurried out of his hotel room, pushing his sisters unsaid words to another part of his mind. He didn’t want to think about it. He wasn’t going to think about it. This was right now and that was the past.

Update....June 2010
First and foremost, I want to thank everyone who has supported me by purchasing From This Day Forward . It's been slow, but I expected it because of my lack of advertising. I've since sent off Red Autumn, so I'm still waiting for a response, publishing wise. Breaking the Rules is on my agenda for sending off again now.
For many of you, or all of you (lol), I do have an alter ego. You might have read my stories under the alias on FictionPress. I won't say what/or who it is, but I've thrown it around somewhat, but eventually when I submit the book, I hope you all will be ready for a great ride in the world of fantasy!

Update...
Red Autumn is almost ready everyone. I have to fix a few problems in my PDF file, before I'm able to post it as a download/or print on LULU. I still want to publish it with someone, but unless I can't I'll be doing self-pub.
Breaking The Rules, I'm pitching to e-pub so we will see how that goes. Although I do want to get it pubbed in paperback, unfortunately I gets no reply every time I send it and I'm really getting frustrated.
From This Day Forward, is doing well as a download on LULU. I had some hiccups and had to fix some things that were in the PDF, hopefully they are okay now. This was really a test run for me, but I'm glad that it's doing well, it's made me a bit more confident for the other two.
Kokoro no Tomo
I have a couple of chapters already written, but as of now, no time to work on it. I have a Mother's day novella I want to put out, but don't even know if I can get that written in time. So, I have to concentrate on one thing at a time no matter how much I want to sit and write for hours without being disturbed...lol
thanks for all the support

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
This year is the year of the Tiger for all those into Chinese Astrology, which in my case means...It's my year to have all of my goals come to fruition.
Okay, I've been incognito for the past 4 almost 5 mths. Weeellll, I made it my mission to get three of my novels out. Two we already know, Breaking The Rules and Red Autumn. A Novella, From This Day Forward is also completed and coming out along with the other two. I was going to put it as an Anthology, but it was nearly full length novel and took up already over 250 plus pages in book format. I figured it would be a great download read.
So, I will not forego this blog any longer. I'm going to make sure you all get a chance to read the final products soon. Very soon, hopefully. I'm talking about in the next few months soon!!
Will update soon on a date.....
